Bonfire night does vary according to what country one is in In England it's November 5th while in Northern Ireland it is celebrated (although not by everyone !!!) on July 11th

Many of the traditions and teachings of the Christian churches have come about from early attempts to appropriate pagan customs and symbols. The first christmas is believed to have happened in the spring or early summer of 6BC (maybe this is why the baby in most nativity scenes looks about six months old !!!) to learn more check out pagan and/or atheist websites such as infidels.org

The summer solstice actually occurs on June 22nd some years (owing to an astronomical year being slightly longer than 365 days and the use of leap years to compensate for this drift) the 23rd July date can probably be explained by early calenders not being 100% accurate (Stonehenge and Newgrange notwithstanding) incidently the reason for there being 360 degrees in a circle is down to early mathemiticians believing there to be 360 days in a year
