Irish Catholics could not become MP's in Westminister and the country was thus "represented" by Protestants from the ruling Landlord class during Penal times until Daniel O' Connell fought for and won Catholic Emancipation in 1829. Most of these MP's were in favour of the harsh British Policies in Ireland at the time and were just as much to blame for the problems in Ireland as the British Government themselves. Get your facts straight in future!
However, the fact that all this happened in the past does not give us the right to blame today's English Government or the people of England for what it's nation has done in the past. It is time to forgive and forget. Move on - This discussion is getting tiresome
