As for wear and tear, well that'd be a sacrifice I'd have to make. Its 6 years old, so not like I'd get alot for it anyway. And I worked out that I'll only have 21 working weeks of driving until the end of my contract if I start in a couple of months. That also means that I won't have too many winter mornings to contend with. The people I live with are sound, but there's just no privacy in a rented house, and always pressure to keep everything tidy, no chance of leaving dishes in the sink for awhile after preparing dinner (so you can eat and let it digest) because then you're accused of being messy. I think my mind is more or less made up at this stage. But it could still be changed-this idea only came to me over the weekend! Might take a test run one of the weeks next month, drive up and down every day and see how tired I get.
