Who'll be taking the risks ?

If you're an employee they'll expect you at your desk. Working from home tends to kick in with established personnel who have proven themselves in a company. Otherwise you're in a contract situation whereby they outsource work to you. Sounds great and can work well. Problem is that you're dependent on them giving you the work and if they fail you still have the overheads of personal accounts, hardware, software, etc. Also with contract rates so low at the moment you would probably end up earning less than a permanent employee.
