Celtic are champions! Castlebar Celtic are Connaught Junior Cup champions for the ninth time. At Milebush Stadium this Sunday afternoon they beat Moyne Villa from Headford 2-1. Captain Kevin Ryan scored Celtic's first goal just before half-time and Declan Reilly put them ahead 2-nil midway through second half. Moyne Villa hit back with a goal but Celtic were the more skilful team held on for a worthy win. Earlier in the day Celtic's under-12s retained the Connacht Cup when they beat Corofin from Galway. A great double for the Celts. Up the bar. Great celebrations in the county town. Greetings to Celtic fans the world over. Johnny Mee.
