The excuse of WMD was a ruse to scare the American people into supporting an obscene, illegal and immoral act. Even Paul Wolfowitz, the most hawkish of the Bush administration, admitted it was the only thing that the Americans would rally around. A FALSE THREAT TO US SECURITY. If there were WMD at the start of the war, it is meaningless - as the excuse used by the US was the "THREAT TO AMERICANS" that Saddam posed - another lie. Saddam's Army was no match for US forces in the Gulf war. It was decimated then and not rebuilt. No link has been establised suggesting that Saddam supported or funded terrorist attacks. Furthermore, Ken, the WMD that Saddam had, was supplied by the US, mostly and used with US support and training. Then Don Rumsfeld and Saddam were buddies. Saddam did our killing for us. When Saddam was killing Iranians by the thousands with poison gas supplied by the US, Americans like yourself were not so morally troubled. It seems that killing 'ragheads' is not as offensive to the American psyche as killing Americans. That is truly sad. People are people, regardless. Remember Ken, that the administration claimed that Iraq was overflowing with WMD. Do you not remember Colin Powell blatantly lying to the UN about plutonium sought by Iraq from Nigeria. Before Powell told those lies, the Administration was informed by the CIA, that the story was fabricated, but Powell told the lie anyway. Ken, some questions. If Saddam had viable WMD at the start of the war, why were thay not used? If Saddam had WMD at the start of the war, why can't we find one single thing? If the US is so sure WMD are present and it is so important to track them down, why has the specialized unit sent there to find them, been sent home? If WMD were so dangerous, why did US troops protect the Oil ministry and leave Iraq's known, and legal nuclear sites open to looters? Why did the US fund and do research into chemical and bioligical weapons in the first place, when the US was an unstoppable military power? Did the US intend to use these unecessary weapons? Why, if the US is so concerned about the development of small yield nuclear devices, are they going ahead with research, development and testing of these and other nuclear weapons? There are so many questions, Ken, let's start with these. It matters not whether WMD are found or not. It is the Bush administration you need to fear Ken.
