Laois have had better teams in the days of Leo Turley, (Hughie Emerson and Damien Delaney in their prime) but you can't knock the current team's confidence and scoring ability under pressure. I think they should have played more short ball to the forwards against a formidable Dublin defense, however.
I think it is too early for this Laois team, give them 'til next year. The further the get in this championship will increase their confidence no end.
I would love to see Laois, if not Mayo, win an All Ireland. They deserve it. They have always put equal commitment into both Hurling and football throughout the years, with a small population, and almost no outside talent.
