I was getting really fed up with the amnounts of Spam I received solast year I changed my main home email address and changed my Hotmail one, since then I've only gotten 2 spams in Hotmail and nothing to my home account.
I only now use my Yahoo account to sign up to web forums etc. as I have only received about 8-10 spams to that account in the 4 years I've had it.
My advice, fresh start with new addresses.
