In reply a joke is not a joke when t seeks to put down anyones race, culture, religion go to the middle east and try your jokes on them, there are some irish people in the Uk who could not care less about any insults that are put to them eg the friends you know, i knew a few as well, but true irish people who are proud of their culture and Heritage in what ever country they go to, will be offended to to be the butt of anyones jokes all it does is reinforce the negative sterotyping of the ignorant, you and your friends are doing the irish cultural heritage no favours by pandering to denigrate your own country and its people with polictically unacceptable jokes, the true irish people are the ones with some pride in their country are among the 3, 500 who took their cases to the equality tribunal and won last two years, a few of the judges commented that " the jokes if they were that were boardering on racial abuse and there intent was to humilate the victim, so please try to be more aware to the feelings and cultures of other people you might not be a victim many thosands were, and for an irish citizen to put down his own country and people in this smutty and childish way beggars belief
