recent glories include the car park fiasco that paid attendants a fortune, the convent that got destroyed and only later got a preservation order, the travellor furore, and of course half the council not on speaking terms with the other half, while finally, half the town officials get completely blanked by............ add to this taxi rank row and the chronic lack of cooperation with big brother, the county council, you have a recipe for true civic pride!
