In the Uk the police advocated that canabis possession for personal use should not be criminised, and it has been so for over a year now, giving police time and resorces to catch those who peddle the harder stuff, i worked as a counsellor with young people in the UK, and most young people did not abuse it just took it now and then, as did many professional people doctors, nurses, members of legal profession. but with crippling unemployment now returning here, higher bills, alchol abuse at an all time high, violence and social disorder on our towns and streets i am sure the law enforcement authorities have better things to do than arresting people for using canabis, cs at end of the day we are on a hiding to nothing,
