Indeed, according to Adomnan's "Life of Columba" (Columbkille), the greta man prophecied that the end of teh world would come 7 years after Ireland went under a great wave. However, have you ever thought that teh wave he meant was not of the watery kind.I would propose that he foresaw a great communications wave (satellite TV, etc), and so the end might be closer than we think. Those on the BB who hate the church wont be happy to find though that Ireland would retain the faith right to the end :) Columba also spoke of a yellow race ruling the world. Many pointed towards the chinese, however if current ufologists are correct about alien plans for Earth, then once again the truth of teh prophecy might be hidden from many eyes. Whatever, it's all fascinating stuff!
