There are upgrade options from Windows NT but I'm not sure about upgrade paths from 95 or 98. I know when you do a re-install of any operating system you should back up any important documents and files first. I have often re-installed windows and Word works fine after the re-install. However this may not be the case when you install the new OS. Proceed with caution!
