I though the saga was
"contracts worth something like IR£4m" - Sure the local Spar shops turns over that these days, how could they expect to survive on such a small turnover. Eircom did the decent thing and pulled the plug, none of the other investers were willing to trump up either i.e. there was consensus that the business was unviable. Regarding 3I as majority shoarholder, don't try and tell me that Eircom weren't aware that Ebeon was been suited be 3I, I'm sure if this was the case and there was a reasonable chance that 3I would purchase Ebeon, that Eircom wouldn't have pulled the plug, conclusion, when 3I looked at the books (like everyone else) they ran a mile.
