That's true. There is a place for idle posts but some people over do it.

Example:

9:00am "Hi all. Morning everyone."

11:00am "Oh that was a nice tea break. Anyone else like tea?"

1:00pm "I'm off for my lunch now."

2:20pm "Back from Lunch. Anyone else have a long lunch like me?"

3:50pm "Better do some work. Don't want to spend all day posting here"

4:45pm "Can't wait to head home - it's been a hard day at work."

5:14pm "One minute to go - Anyone going to the pub?"

8:15pm "Finally got my computer online at home. How are ye all?"

10:15pm "Wasn't Friends funny tonight?"

11:30pm "Night all - seeya tomorrow"
