If you re-read my posts you'll see that my point is that the only way peace will come about is if people realise the econimic costs of the waring years. The North has lost billions in business investment as a result of the political instability. For a long time it was in the best interests of the people with the money there to maintain the status quo (ie keep the pot stirred). That seems to have changed which is one reason why the peace process has gone as far as it has to date. Hopefully the process will continue, but to overcome the ingrained distrust the two sides will have to have a common ground, and the economic costs are more likely to push the sides together than anyhting else. Money does make the world go around.
