Alberta is a pretty big province, one of the wealthiest in Canada. Calgary (population about 1 million) is where I am - it's the home of the world-renowned Calgary Stampede that people from all over the world attend every July and Calgary hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics as well. Calgary is also only an hour away from the Banff, in the midst of the Rocky Mountains where everyone goes to Ski/Snowboard, etc. Calgary is a very corporate town (big in the Oil business), but it's a city with a very young mind-set. The average age of people living in Calgary is only 33 years old. There's tons of jobs here and the pay isn't too bad. It's pretty expensive to live here so the salaries have to be comparable to the cost of living.
