You dont say where youre coming from Dublin ? Galway ? Somewhere smaller ? AFIK there isint really any actual "scene" in Castlebar (due to it not being the biggest place in the World) but If you want to meet likeminded people theres always the internet and Galway is only 50 miles down the road.

RE: Peoples attitudes generally Same as anywhere else I suppose, Some people are dead on and some are narrowminded bigoted ignorant ****heads but you get that everywhere. Hopefully you wont meet too many.
