Over 10,000 mobile phones are damaged and consequently claimed for each week in the UK according to a Insurance Coverplan report.

The report has highlight many unusual ways in which a mobile phone can be damaged:

At number one is the most popular method of dropping the phone in water
On the same list are dropping the phone down the toilet
Losing the phone out of the side window of a car when going round a corner
Bar-B-Queing the mobile phone
RTA - the phone gets run over by a moving vehicle
Dropped from a great height - especially builders on scaffolding
Destroyed along with household rubbish
...to name but a few.
