There has been suggestions that some of the parents have been pressurised into using the "contentious route" On the other hand if we give into the bullies where will it stop ? Could it spread to other schools. The local RC school here in Carrickfergus is located in a "predominantly loyalist area" could this be the next "flashpoint" ? There must be hundreds of other School routes in NI which involve kids travelling through Loyalist or Nationalist areas and could travel to churches, workplaces, Shops, sports grounds, town centres etc become "contentious" as well ?
