So you believe in the myth of precision bombing do you? Unfortunately, bombs do not discriminate between the innocent and the guilty. Did you not learn anything from the disasters in Iraq, Kosovo and the Sudan? Already the mere threat of bombing has caused chaos in Afghanistan and has certainly led to further innocent deaths. The motivation behind any attack on Afghanistan is to take out any infrastructure that exists, in order to destabilise the government. This includes electricity, water supplies, roads, hospitals. This was the strategy in Yugoslavia. All these things were considered legitimate targets because they were helping to bring down the government (even though they didn't succeed in doing that). This has devestating effects for the ordinary people of the country and usually does precious little to remove the regime that is oppressing them. In fact it may have the opposite effect in that it drives the people to support them. I am all for bringing the guilty to justice. I just don't think this is the best way of going about it. and I'm sure the leaders of the free world know that too so I am a little bit suspicious of their motives. It's quite obvious to me that the Afghani people are being used as pawns in the game.
