It was not my intention to trivialize the plight of so many Afghans, and I'm sorry that you took it the wrong way. By the way, if you've been up with the news for the past few years, you'd know that the Taliban is already a greater monster than the US ever could be. It's not uncommon for the undernourished people of Afghanistan to see their mother shot for speaking out of turn or to even blow up on a 1980s landmine. I don't see how they deserve a cruise missile on the doorsteps of their hovels, and I know it won't come to that.


PS, there was another mass emigartion from Ireland in the 1840s, you might have heard of it.
