I agree that it is not a black and white issue
and that is what I am trying to convey in my
posts.

But the more I learn about this situation the more
difficult I find to discuss it without dragging
American foreign policy into the argument. I don't
think it is fair to label criticism of certain
aspects of American foreign policy as anti-American.
In fact I think such labels are just lazy and are
a tactic to avoid having to discuss the issue.

As regards to arguing against the calls for bombing
before anything has actually been done, I don't
really see much point in arguing the case after
the damage has been done. The whole point is to try
and prevent such action by demonstarting its futility.

And by the way I am not anti-USA. I spent many years
there living and working, as did my family and I
have many relations living there. I also love the
music,the literature and even some of the TV shows
that have been created there.
