No you missed the point of the first posting. That's the Japanese talking about the Irish in Japan - all those people finding out how expensive the pints are in Japan - research for next year's World Cup. Thousands of travel agents have descended on Tokyo Kyoto. They are busy eating raw fish for breakfast in expensive hostels and drinking £20-a-go plastic cups of beer from vending machines (and they're the cheap ones)so they can return to Ireland and ring up Joe Duffy and tell us how expensive it's going to be for the RTE licence-holder who is paying for the RTE team to go to Japan! With regard to anyone outside of RTE who is thinking of going to the World Cup, the Central Bank today issued a statement urging the nation's banks to be consider carefully their liquidity and solvency quotients in the runup to the big event. They issued a strict warning that lending money to "John 7:11" (you know - the guy behind the goalpost) and "McCarthys Bar on Tour" could affect the value of the Euro.
