You know little or nothing about the majority of the people who post here - few use their real names - many of whom take great pleasure in "pulling the leg" of the more serious contributors. This board is nothing more than an outlet for opinions (everyone is entitled to them and all are valid but they are neither right nor wrong, just opinions!) and responses should not be taken personally - why do you care so much about what strangers think?. If you want deep and meaningful communication, in my opinion you should seek it amongst "real" people, ie your friends and family, and if you want to broaden it, then perhaps you should consider joining a social club or taking up an evening class. I am often surprised at the level of offence that can be taken by people contributing to the board. Many posters are upset that others don't agree with their opinions but how often in the "real" world would you walk up to a stranger and reveal your innermost thoughts and feelings on a range of subjects? I suspect the answer is rarely because you would feel vulnerable in doing so and would risk rejection and ridicule. The internet is a very unnatural environment and although many virtual friendships are struck, few live up to expectations in reality!
