Anyway it depends on your definition of a "sex offender". Until recently homosexuals were classed as "sex offenders" in some of the more backwater US states they still are. In some of these states "fornicators" and "adulterers" and even those hetrosexual married couples who like to (ahem) use unconventional positions are also sex offenders (i.e. most of the population)
