Back in the days of Genesis when showers and baths were a bit thin on the ground maybe circumcision was hygenic but nowadays the hygenic benefits are hardly of any value to anyone who washes frequently and regularly.

Certainly the practice of circumcision removes nerve endings which change the feelings and sensations a man has in that region.

I believe, in a religious sense, circumsions is a mark of the promise Abraham's covenant with God. Common in Muslim countries, Israel and the USA, an uhnoly axis of evil if you ask me!
