The point followed an earlier thread about moaners. I wouldn't call the CT a rag at all - there is an absolutely amazing amount of information in it each week from all over Mayo. I am mightly impressed at the effort that goes into putting it together week after week under very short deadlines. Ditto for the Western and the Mayo News. They may or may not do a better job but in a competitive market it will show up in the end in sales and advertising revenues. I'm afraid even the Irish Times nowadays has spelling errors, the Indo regularly doesn't acknowledge copyright. If people want to improve the spelling/grammar etc. why not mark up a page or two and send it to the editor? No point complaining
