I seen a fellow with a cart selling something just like that. It was red about the size of a golf ball, in a port called Rantone, Honduris, an island below Cuba. I asked him what it was, he cut it open with a knife and it was all white inside. I barely speak spanish and he could not speak english. I was afraid to try it. They were very friendly people. We were told to be careful Some people on the ship said they wished I had bought some and carried it back on board. The ship would never let you bring it on board. My son in law knew the name and said it was good to eat. I forgot what it was. It was a wild looking thing.
