His article in last Sunday's Independent says it all. How many times must he be told AnTaisce DON'T
favour an outright ban on one off houses? Currently, as Frank Corcoran told him, the Sunday before, one third of all houses are one-off. Only 4 out of every 1,000 planning decisions are appealed by An Taisce, and of these, about 90% are upheld by An Bord Pleanala, invariably on the grounds of public health and safety.
Stopping your ears, shouting loudly and screaming insults at anyone who disagrees with you is no way to debate issues that matter to everyone who lives in this country.
Mr Brady won't allow us to compare Ireland with Britain, Canada or the U.S. who have similar problems we might be able to learn from, yet he has no difficulty comparing An Taisce, an Irish Charity, with Ceaucescu, and, perhaps, even worse (in his book) accusing them of applying 'British Anglo-Saxon planning methods'.
How can you talk to people like this? Is it another Land War they're after?
