On top of all the wantom destruction that will be potentially wrought on this county thanx to those cultural and eco-vandals on Mayo CC we now have the terrifying prospect of the only thing between us and a very bleak future for this region in the form of an affective and fair Bord Pleanala being banjaxed by the boys from the BMW council. Apparently they have called for the Board to be regionalised cos "In the light of recent BP decesions we require a different body which understands our needs in the BMW region". This is quiet a terrifying propect. Can you image the types that will get to sit on this thing - Yep you guessed it, basically Mayo CC Mark 2 who as we all know are very good at looking after our(or in reality their) needs. So if those boys had there way the Corrib oil people would have been allowed to build their Mountain of peat in the very same area that was devastated by the recent landslides and beleive me there are plenty of other terrifying examples out there.
