I taught it was a small narrow minded place, whose reaction to ambition was to state that you taught you were above yourself. Also look at the amount of trouble caused by underage drinking (no different from other populated towns in Ireland) and how everything there revolves around the pub. In addition the town has engulfed the relief road, with the result traffic now is a major problem there. Castlebar has its good points the N5 out been the best of them!
