Lots of these people have killed innocent people on both sides of the poltical and religious divide. They have more in common with a mafia that with the freedom fighters of old. You say that you understand that violence is not the answer but that is exactly what these people believe, that violence is the answer. Violence hasn't worked in Northern Ireland and we are still struggling to give peace a real try. There are signific and and important difference between the American war of Independance and Ireland's ongoing problems. These difference should be examined before drawing parrallels.
