Don't have the link. I think the point he was making was Auctioneers/Valuers consider themselves a profession, and should be capable of valuing a property of within a +- 10% of the eventual selling price. He was basically saying that they tend to under value houses to suck in
more potential punters. From my expereince I definetly agree with his assessment, in recent weeks I've seen houses going for 30%-35% more than the initial guide price. OK yes an auctioneers duty is to the vendor, but why claim that they are valuers so, if they can't value property,
