I am not a native of Castlebar but came to live here over twenty years ago and some of my family have been born here. So I regard them as fully-fledged Castlebar people. I follow the affairs of Mayo County Council and Castlebar Town Council and sometimes feel we are too harsh on councillors, most of them are dedicated to improving the town. Castlebar has improved immensely since I came to live here and I suppose we are now one of the leading towns in the country. The councillors must be doing something right. Let's give them credit for something.
