Rasism would apply if we were restricting access to this country which we are not. It is necessary that in order to have as free and open an access that we have here that certain reasonable measures are put in place. There should be controls on who we grant citizenship too and citizenship and all its benefits and responsibilities should be taken seriously. There's no point harping on about article two. All you need to know is that the UK are exempt from this new legislation. I accept that the timing of the referendum does have political motives, but I would expect nothing less from FF. That should not distract from its merits, though.
