If your going to travel and be a stranger in a country you just need to keep your head up and be aware that there could be dangers.....and if your careful generally you'll escape most dangerous situations. One of our young family members has spent this last year in Sweden......we were very pleased to have him set off to go at a time when the world was so edgy about the 9/11 follow up. Again he just needed to keep his head up and go have the adventure. I'm sure not saying to stay at home but don't be thinking everyone is a good person either.
