Hi,
I am a youngish man from co. Cork. I have recently inherited some money and I am looking to settle in some part of the country that is untainted by the smell of dead pigs or chemicals from pharmaceutical plants. I have a foxy friend from castlebar, who maintains that it is a great place.
However, I am worried and have heard that I may encounter some serious begrudgery as I want to buy some land, build a house on it and raise some goats to make cheese. I hear that some people don't look kindly on strangers soming buying their land and that it will be next to impossible to get planning to build if I get some land.
Also, do you reckon there's a market for speciality cheeses in Castlebar? Thanks in Advance
