All the major banks are as bad as each other. The Post office is an alternative but not a terribly realistic one unless/until they get an ATM network and online banking.
Parts of the UK have somehing called the cooperative bank which are big into ethical business but unfortunately theres no sign of them opening in Ireland (they only have one or two branches in NI)
The last time the Labour party were in Govt we were promised a "third banking force" (a merger of ACC ICC TSB and the post office bank with an ATM network) unfotunately it never happened and the government sold off the TSB (although many question whether it was theirs to sell)
