I normally agree with your posts on this board Danny but I have to disagree here. To let one of the oldest building in the town be demolished by some cowboys is a disgrace to the town. Don't let them get away with it. Even if it was a relic of our 'clerical tyrannical past' it is still our past. No matter what condition it was in or what it was being used for it could have been restored an incorporated into a hotel or high end apartments. This has been done in other towns and cities. These units sell for far higher than a new 'modern' unit. Its a pity there are no politicians with balls in Mayo.
