Nobody is asking the employees to give up holidays or, indeed, any time off, but I agree with the statement that the library falls down very badly in the hours it keeps. When I say this I also wish to state that the employees are excellent people - helpful, courteous and hard-working and my gripe has nothing to do with them at all, but why it cannot open at 9 am is beyond my comprehension and closing on Church holidays is not on in this day and age.
