Quinn in particular is notorius for challenging claims (how else do you think they can offer such low premiums?) while if you look at the small print, FBD policies aren't the same calibre as your normal run of the mill companies i.e. risks that are included as standard wouldn't be covered by FBD. Just in case the cynics think I have some attachment to any insurance company, I can assure you that I don't. I had a car policy with Quinns previously and when I had to make a claim they fought it tooth and nail and since that I'm wary of insurance policies.
