Every problem you have mentioned is within the remit and responsibility of the Irish government.

My experience of the EU has been that it has been a positive thing for the country.

We have benefited from free markets.

We have benefited from investment of infrastructure. (If you think it's bad imagine what it would be like without them). The biggest problem with EU funds is that the Irish government have redirected them to politically sensitive areas thus giving us a mish-mash of a network.

We have benefited from more enlightened laws giving equal rights to women.

Farmerrs have benefited from subsidies. Without them they would all have had to emigrate.

I think without the EU we would be at the level of the Eastern European countries or worse.

We don't know how good we have it.
