Not suprised Mayo lost some of its blue flags. I had the unpleasent experiance of walking the dog on a beach near Belmullet yesterday evening that was convered with plastic rubbish of all types - most of it of agricultural origin with much silage wrap and fertilizer bags in evidence. Certain farmers, not content with poisoning our water in everyway possible, now seem to view coastal areas as free dumps. In any other country this would not be tolerated and the culprits dealt with but as all know Ireland isn't every country when it comes to such issues. Is their any point in reporting this to Mayo Co.Co. who might be able to clean the mess up or would I(as I sadly suspect) be wasting my time?.
