Actually I think you'll find the Env department of Mayo Co Co very helpful and encouraging, Get in touch with Sharon Cameron who's the env officer or you can get in touch with one of the Litter wardens.
Interesting also to read some of the follow up to this post with additional reference to Jaundiced Eye's take on a item on this weeks Mayo News which I tend to agree with, namely that out attitude to many things legal or authoritiarian in this country tend to be a throw back to our colonial past wherby it is (or used to be) ok to bend or break the law or defile the countryside because it's merely a way of getting one back on the Brits who ruled us for 600 years. Unfortunately I think that inherent mentality still exists in our subconscious to this day manifesting itself in out pathetic attitude as a nation towards littering and pollution amongst other things.
