I am so sorry for the hate that your family have been subjected to, there are i am sad to say many racists here in Ireland, we like to portray ourselves as a "welcoming people" but only on our terms, many of our people in times past and today traveled the world in search of work and homes, now we close the door on others coming here we see them as a threat when they are not! the more nationalities that arrive on these shores the better as it enriches our national life, but as in all socities there are the mindless morons racists and we have plenty here on this island but they are not the majority, i one the same point have heard prople from other lands being verbally abused in bars ect i even had to take a shop assistant to task for coming out with a racist remark behind the back of a customer, but again please dont judge us to harshly we are not all like that
