"during second world war many of your brave men and women made their way to Uk," So we can't take the moral high ground because we helped fight Hitler as well. Your logic is impeccable. I think as far as even current affairs go the majority of E.U. and U.N. nations can take "the moral high ground" over the U.K. or more specifically England. As a conquering nation in modern times you still have a lot to answer for. There are plenty of Anti-Bush/American feeling for what they have done in Iraq. Since the English were equal partners I think its only fair they share the blame. Your history with Ireland aside, there are plenty of other reasons for the U.K.'s lack of popularity. I said there are plenty of problems with uk in the present no need to bring up the past.
Nice bit of revisionist history there. Did you know that Churchill wanted to invade Ireland and considered us traitors for not allowing use of the treaty ports? Traitors! The only reason he didn't is because of the thousands of Irish fighting with the British Army. Also what the hell has that got to do with anything. I don't think anyone else was talking about WWII. Forget UK-Irish relations, as an independant thinking Human Being. I find what the U.K. operate and perpetrate as being offensive.
