You post under the name "choice" and yet this is what the likes of Bogwest DENY to listeners in Mayo they enjoy a virtual monopoly in local radio in Mayo and Sligo. They even fought tooth and nail against the introduction of a limited community service in Castlebar. Right now they are fighting a totally scurrilous campaign against Ocean FM in Sligo. Despite their protected monopoly status they wont even adhere to the terms of their broadcasting licence.

If staions like Midwest can survive in a truly open market in broadcasting in Ireland then good luck to them.

I dont know why you assume I want "wall to wall pop" but since you mention it name one FM station available in Mayo which provides such a service because Ill think youll find there arent any.
