Ever since the last local elections,where the Fianna Fail Party did so badly,the local Cumann members in the Town have been calling for a Meeting to discuss the outcome,candidates,strategy etc.
Each time they have been fobbed off with excuses such as "give time to let the wounds heal", "Beverley Cooper Flynn's situation may/might change" etc.
It's not good enough & so many members are furious as to the treatment & attitude they are receiving.
The last Election was the dirtiest in living memory with certain candidates, particularly in the Town making secret pacts & agreements with one another & excluding others.
A number of people associated with Beverley Flynn excluded & ignored the other Town Cumanns & its members & went as far as to selectively canvass with some & not others.Teamwork & loyalty - out the window!
The Flynn's reign over F.F. in Castlebar is over & anyone still clinging on to the belief that it's not,should make way for new members prepared to work solely for the betterment of Castlebar & not themselves.
So, once again the call is going out,in public this time for Fianna Fail to hold their long awaited meeting so that the party can start afresh.
