I said a rosary for you all. I was in the sea on the carnival Paradise waiting for the port of Miami to open. I was glad to see the lights on in the port on monday. We hand caried our lugges off the ship and hired a cab to the airport. We were lucky to get a stand by out at 1:30pm to mimallipis and then another to milwaukee at, right away. I bet there were people in the airport for 3 days tryng to get home. Non citizens had to see imagration and they tried to get off the ship with the us citizens. They all had to go back and held up the line. There were a lot of rude people on that ship. You would not believe how rude some of the people were. The safe way to build a house there is to use concrete and rebar. Another way is to build a 10 by 10 foot room in the garage, of cement, with a steel door. Most homes in florada can't have basements because of the high water table, I am told. We have tonados here, but not to often, and only in spots. We havn't had a bad one here in 15 or 20 years. That one only took out 6 houses. I had to rewire and put services on them. One got the whole house, the second the roof and the third, the electric service meter. There were alot of upset people. They found some houses had no insulation and some hollowcore doors, ect. Many things not done right.
